Bluestar Petroleum (Jinan) and Jinan Changcheng Refinery hold the same businesses of oil processing and carbonization chemistry.

The 41-year-old Jinan Changcheng Refinery merged its management with the Bluestar Petroleum (Jinan) in 2006 and became a wholly owned subsidiary of ChemChina Petrochemical Corporation in 2008.

The two companies have total assets of 2.1 billion yuan ($333 million) and more than 1,700 employees, covering an area of 600,000 sq m of office space, as of 2011.
